1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Legendary Players Guild ("LPG," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, retains, and discloses information when you visit legendaryplayersguild.com, create an account, purchase a membership, or use our generators, libraries, storage, chat, and virtual tabletop services (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information, such as username, display name, email address, password hash, preferences, and membership level.
• User content, such as characters, maps, encounters, documents, chat messages, uploaded images, campaign material, and other content you choose to save or share.
• Communications you send to us, including support and privacy requests.
• Transaction details, such as the product purchased, payment status, billing period, and payment processor identifiers. We do not intend to store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical and security data, which may include IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, diagnostic logs, and suspected abuse or fraud signals.
• Session cookies and similar local storage needed to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect forms, and operate Service features.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and maintain the Service; authenticate accounts; save, display, and share content as you direct; process purchases and administer memberships; communicate about accounts and support; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; diagnose and improve performance; comply with law; and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use private user content to train a general-purpose artificial intelligence model. If a future feature requires a materially different use of personal information, we will provide clear notice and obtain consent when required.

4. When information may be disclosed

We limit disclosure to the following circumstances:

• At your direction: when you share a campaign, tabletop, chat, document, or other content with another user.
• Essential service providers: infrastructure, email delivery, security, and payment providers may process limited information on our behalf under their own contractual and legal duties. They are not authorized by us to sell your information or use it for their independent advertising.
• Legal and safety needs: when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or defend legal claims.
• Business continuity: if LPG is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction subject to this Policy or notice of materially different terms.

If Stripe payment services are enabled, payment and transaction information will be processed by Stripe and relevant financial institutions. Their processing is also governed by their own privacy terms.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain account information and saved content while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the Service. We may retain limited records longer when required for billing, tax, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, backup integrity, or legal compliance. You may request account or personal-information deletion by contacting us. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or be retained where law permits or requires.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and hashed account passwords. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your password confidential and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. Your choices and rights

You may review and update available account information through the Service. You may also ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law provides those rights. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

You can control nonessential browser storage through your browser. Disabling essential cookies may prevent authentication and other features from working.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Users who have not reached the age of legal majority where they live must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

9. International use

LPG is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from another location, information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by essential service providers, subject to applicable safeguards and law.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. We will post the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when a change is material. We will not retroactively use personal information in a materially different way without notice or consent when required by law.
