How To Use
This free dungeon generator creates playable fantasy maps for tabletop roleplaying games. Each roll builds connected rooms and passages, places an entrance and stairs, and can populate keyed areas with monsters, traps, treasure, NPCs, magic, or combined encounters.
How to generate a dungeon
- Open Configuration to choose the map size, shape, entrance, room progression, density, threat tier, preferred monster type, background, floor texture, grid and grid color.
- Adjust room distribution and encounter chances when you want more control, or keep the defaults for a quick random dungeon.
- Select Generate Dungeon. Click a numbered room on the finished map to read its encounter, or open the complete encounter list.
- Print the dungeon and key, save it to your Guild library, or transfer it into an Adventure on the Legendary Players Guild virtual tabletop.
Designed for game preparation and live play
Use a small linear layout for a short session, or a ring or labyrinth for a longer exploration-focused campaign. Generated maps include a readable square grid, doors, secret doors, stairs, room labels, and a separate encounter key. Regenerate whenever you need another layout; configuration choices let you keep the style of dungeon consistent while changing its rooms.
Dungeon generator questions
- Can I use the map in a virtual tabletop?
- Yes. Save or transfer a generated dungeon to an LPG Adventure, where its map and keyed encounters can be used during play.
- Does it generate room encounters?
- Yes. Encounter chances are configurable for monsters, traps, treasure, NPCs, and magic, and the threat tier influences generated details.
- Do I need an account?
- No account is required to generate a dungeon. Library saving and tabletop transfer require the corresponding Guild access.
