Terms of Service

1. The Service

Legendary Players Guild ("LPG," "we," "us," or "our") provides fantasy tabletop roleplaying generators, libraries, content-design tools, file storage, communication features, and virtual tabletop services (collectively, the "Service"). Features may be added, changed, suspended, or discontinued as the Service develops.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you have not reached the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law.

You may not impersonate another person, create accounts through unauthorized automation, transfer an account without permission, or use another person’s account without authorization.

3. Memberships, purchases, and billing

Prices, billing intervals, included benefits, storage allowances, and applicable limits are displayed at purchase. Recurring memberships renew automatically for the selected period until canceled. You authorize the applicable payment processor to charge the payment method you provide, including applicable taxes, on our behalf.

You may cancel a recurring membership through the available billing controls. Unless required otherwise by law or stated at purchase, cancellation stops future renewals and paid access continues through the current paid billing period. Fees already charged are nonrefundable except where required by law or expressly stated in a refund policy.

A Charter is a one-time purchase providing lifetime access to the corresponding membership tier, not unlimited or unmetered use. Charter use is subject to the storage, data-transfer, file-size, and other fair-use quotas then applicable to that tier. Those quotas may change over time as the Service, technology, costs, and ordinary usage patterns evolve. "Lifetime" means for as long as LPG continues to operate and offer the corresponding Service; it does not guarantee that every current feature, benefit, or quota will remain unchanged indefinitely. Charter seats remain attached to the purchasing Charter and may not be separately sold. Fraud, chargebacks, refunds, or material violations of these Terms may result in suspension or revocation, subject to applicable law.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of original content you create and submit to the Service ("User Content"). You grant LPG a limited, nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the features you choose to use. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backup periods, content shared with others that they retain, and records we must preserve by law.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit User Content and permit the uses described here. You are responsible for preserving your own backup copies of important content.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

• Violate law or the rights of another person, including privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or contractual rights.
• Upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, evade access controls, interfere with operation, or gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts.
• Harass, threaten, defraud, stalk, exploit, or abuse another person.
• Publish unlawful content or content that facilitates serious wrongdoing.
• Scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, resell, or commercially exploit the Service except as expressly permitted by law or written authorization.
• Misrepresent generated content as official game rules or as endorsed by a third-party rights holder.

We may investigate suspected violations and remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, users, or others.

6. LPG content and intellectual property

The Service, excluding User Content and identified third-party material, including its software, branding, interface, original text, graphics, and designs, is owned by LPG or its licensors and protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, nontransferable license to use the Service for its intended personal or internal tabletop-gaming purposes.

References to third-party games, rules, trademarks, or other properties belong to their respective owners. Unless expressly stated, LPG is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with those owners.

7. Copyright concerns

If you believe material available through the Service infringes your copyright, email privacy@legendaryplayersguild.com with identification of the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, your contact information, a good-faith statement, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove content and terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.

8. Third-party services

The Service may link to or depend on third-party services, including payment processors. Their services and data practices are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control, but we will choose and use essential providers with reasonable care.

9. Availability and changes

We work to provide a dependable Service but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available operation. Maintenance, security events, technical failures, legal requirements, or circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect availability. Beta, preview, and in-development features may change or be withdrawn.

10. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." LPG DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Generated material is creative assistance and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing it before use. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LPG WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR USE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. LPG’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID LPG DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated violation of these Terms, legal or security risk, fraud, nonpayment, or conduct that threatens the Service or its users. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limitations.

13. Governing rules and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable United States law and the law of the state in which LPG is principally operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a formal claim, you and LPG agree to make a good-faith effort for 30 days to resolve the dispute informally, unless immediate relief is reasonably necessary. Nothing here limits rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post revised Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice of material changes when appropriate. Changes apply prospectively. Continuing to use the Service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

15. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; LPG may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of the Service. These Terms and incorporated policies are the entire agreement concerning the Service unless separate written terms apply.
